Traditional nordic music is often melancholic and minimalistic. It revolves around nature, forests, woods, mountains, rivers and lakes. With this tune I wanted to create a somber and beautiful intricate mood that combines kantele with lute guitar and accordion. Scandinavian folk music spans the countries of Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Iceland. Finnish music often is based on kantele, but each country has it's own history, tradition and style. Often this kind of music sounds like medieval music or pagan music, or even viking music.
